We’re glad you’re visiting our website!

Ferris Church of Christ is an independent restoration “church by the side of the road” located in Vestaburg, Michigan for over 145 years. If you are interested in being a part of our church family, we welcome you to please join us Sunday mornings for Sunday School at 9:30 a.m. and Worship at 10:30 a.m.

Our mission is to encourage one another to love God with all of our heart, soul and mind and to love our neighbors as ourselves; and to reach out to people everywhere, sharing Jesus with all who will hear, immersing all who repent & respond to that message, and then disciple and equip them for service.

Our hope is that our community might be a place for you to connect, grow, serve, and experience the transforming love of Jesus Christ.

Jesus replied: ‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. And second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ ” Matthew 22:37-39

Praise God…we’re in “the preacher’s house!” From my family: We have one word for the response we’ve had at Ferris upon our arrival… WOW! Thank you to everyone who prayed, prepared, stocked the pantry, painted and worked at the parsonage, assisted with the move, brought meals, came to visit, called, and otherwise helped make our transition to the area a smooth one. I said it last month and I’ll say it again: this feels like home. YOU have made that way.

We read in Psalm 122:1, “Let us go to the house of the LORD.” (NIV) We are here at (or quite close to) the LORD’s house and I am beyond ready to “hit the ground running” in service. If you are a member or regular visitor to Ferris and you haven’t heard from me yet, I hope to talk to you soon. If you have any prayer needs, concerns, or need anything at all from your minister, please call the parsonage number (it is now listed on the back of your bulletin) or e-mail me at joshuaprude@gmail.com. Lord willing, I’ll be “in the office” Tuesday through Thursday and on Saturday as well. And there’s a pretty good chance you know where to find me on Sundays!

It’s been over a year since “the preacher’s house” has been “occupied”. I certainly don’t have all the answers and I definitely won’t pretend that I do. But if there’s any way at all that I can be a blessing to you, please let me know. I’m here for you. And this comes right from the heart: I can’t tell you how excited I am for this opportunity to serve at Ferris Church of Christ. Whether you are a member, a regular visitor, or looking for a church home… come join us at the LORD’s house, won’t you?

In His service,

Josh Rude
